False report of active shooter puts two schools on shelter in place

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Mann Middle School and Stratton Elementary in central Colorado Springs were put on shelter in place status Wednesday afternoon while police investigated a report of an active shooter in the 2100 block of Templeton Gap road.

The report turned out to be unfounded and the shelter in place orders at Mann and Stratton have been lifted.
