COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Local authorities are teaming up to help out fellow first responders who are assisting in the emergency situation in southeast Texas, following Hurricane Harvey.
The El Paso County Sheriff's Office, Sheriff Bill Elder, CSPD and Shield 616 will be at the Falcon substation taking donations Thursday.
The donation center will be open from 10 a.m. to noon.
Needed items include undershirts, underwear, socks, coolers, food and drinks. Additional items include headlamps, cots or air mattresses, sleeping bags and toiletries. Individuals will also have the opportunity to financially support this effort if they so choose.
The CSPD Falcon substation is located off North Academy Boulevard.
