Dougherty Sibling Moved To Pueblo Jail

Contraband Found In His Cell During Shakedown

WALSENBURG, Colo. - A brother in the Dougherty gang has been transferred to Pueblo County jail after Huerfano County deputies found contraband in his cell.

26-year-old Dylan Stanley-Dougherty, was transferred to Pueblo on Jan. 12.

Huerfano County Sheriff Bruce Newman said deputies at the Huerfano jail found "contraband" in Dougherty's cell during a routine shake down at the facility. Newman would not say exactly what the contraband was or how it got into Dougherty's cell. The investigation is ongoing and will likely be completed sometime next week according to Newman.

Depending on the results of the investigation, Dougherty could face more charges.

Dougherty currently faces 23 complaints, including six counts of attempt to commit murder.

Dougherty along with his brother Ryan Dougherty, 22, and sister Lee Grace Dougherty, 29, were caught in a high-speed chase Aug. 10 on Interstate 25 that ended near Walsenburg.

Prosecutors say the siblings allegedly shot at pursuing law officers before being captured.

Lee Grace Dougherty pleaded not guilty to 29 charges filed against her. She faces a two-week jury trial starting Feb. 21.

Ryan Dougherty faces 24 felony complaints, which include five counts of attempt to commit murder.
