Parkview Medical Center educating kids on heart health

PUEBLO, Colo. - Mobile nurses from Parkview Medical Center took some time out of their normal schedule to teach students at North Mesa Elementary School about heart health.

They held several different age appropriate presentations for students, not only teaching them about staying heart healthy but giving them a chance to learn CPR through their rendition of the Bee Gee's 70's classic "Staying Alive".

“If you talk to the children, they'll take it home to their families and maybe can instill some good positive habits early on,” said Kim Dodds.

Nurses hope the program could help children one day save someone's life.
