It wouldn't be an MTV awards show if there wasn't at least one stage-related mishap.
During Sunday's MTV Movie Awards, it was "Parks and Recreation" actress Aubrey Plaza who provided one of the night's most bizarre moments.
Plaza, who had the title of her upcoming movie, "The To Do List," written on her chest, decided to remove her shoes and run up on stage as Will Ferrell accepted the Comedic Genius award. Without saying a word -- and still trying to hold on to her beverage -- Plaza attempted to take Ferrell's Golden Popcorn statue away from him, but gave up halfway through after Ferrell asked her if she was OK.
Considering that a) this was Will Ferrell; b) he was wearing a three-piece suit with a money motif; and c) he did later bring his "family" on stage, there was confusion as to whether Plaza's stunt was choreographed.
But according to MTV, security later escorted Plaza off the premises.
Ferrell told MTV afterward that he thought "she wanted to tell me something important," but, as we all witnessed, "there was no message. It was just a lot of hot liquor breath. And, then, and a little bit of sweat. And then she ran away. But the ship sailed on."
Later, Plaza played off the incident on her Twitter account, giving a nod to MTV's infamous stage-crasher, Kanye West.
