I was visiting in September and on the drive into Columbine, this was one of many amazing views.

CR 92 weaves through valleys and fields and going home one afternoon, around every curve we were assaulted by dazzling sunlit aspens. These were highlighted by the evergreens behind and the soft browns of the field in the foreground.
With the sun going down behind the hills that form this valley a bright gold lit up this grove of young aspen, and the soft shadows and tones of the trunks and grass surrounding was unique.
If you drive to Kebler dont forget to also hit Ohio pass a small distance away
Kebler is the home of the largest organism in the USA. The aspen grove there is mainly 1 aspen for miles.

I noticed large group of Aspens and when I got close, noticed the leaves framed a perfect picture of Pikes Peak. There was quite a bit of haze from smoke.

Trees decked out in their autumn colors are spectacular in sunlight, but at night have an eerie beauty unlike anything you can see during the day.

As the road progresses the leave change from green to yellow. At the end, a storm forms over the mountain, symbolizing the impending winter ahead.
As you follow the road, it starts green then progresses to a nice September yellow. The end is a storm cloud forming over the peak, symbolizing the forthcoming winter.
Almost missed this because we were looking ahead and to the left instead of to the right. The right was the right shot thistime.

As the sun started to set,the colors of these gorgeous trees just seemed to pop. They stood so proud and tall, "End of Watch" seemed appropriate.
We rolled dwn th window to ge a shot and mydachshund Bo bounced up into the picture. He wanted to enjoy th view too and gve it two paws up!
