Families shed tears of joy at Fort Carson homecoming

Families shed tears of joy at Fort...

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Early Wednesday morning, the Third Armored Brigade Combat Team, Forth Infantry Division, arrived home from a 10-month deployment, and their family and friends were all there to greet them.

After being pushed back several times, prolonging the anticipation for these families, the soldiers finally arrived around 3 A.M.

Although families were tired, they couldn't hold their excitement in as they ran toward their loved ones.

Wives, husbands, mothers and children were elated and overjoyed, but mostly, everyone was excited to get home and pick up where they left off.

For Nicholas Rodriguez this is only the second time he's seen his son.

"I really, we only got to spend 12 days together so we have a lot of catching up to do and I'm happy I'm actually home so there's nothing more I can ask for," said Rodriguez.

About two hundred and thirty returned from Eastern Europe where they supported U.S. Army Europe and participated in the Atlantic Resolve for 10 months.
