Fast and the Furious 7 is filming on top of Pikes Peak.
The Colorado Springs Visitors Bureau believes a production of that size has a direct economic impact from $125-260 thousand dollars a day.
"I would say millions definitely. Immediately again, all those dollars coming into the community but long term with the promotion of that and other people coming to our area, I really think it's in the millions,” Chelsy Murphy, a spokesperson for the agency said.
Because of the filming, there are closures on the Pikes Peak highway. Thursday and Friday the highway will be closed from Glen Cove, about halfway up to the summit. Then on Friday and Tuesday the highway including the north slope recreation area will be closed.
The Cog Railway is running as usual.
