AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. -

The Air Force Academy says a 1/2 acre fire the started at Jacks Valley Monday was 50% contained as of Tuesday morning.

Officials said the fire was 100% contained Monday night, but revised containment down to 50% at 11 a.m. Tuesday.

The fire is burning in an area known as CATM, which is the rifle range at the Academy.

The cause of the fire has not been confirmed by officials, but STORMTRACKER 13 Chief Meteorologist Matt Meister says there was lightning in the area just before the fire was reported.
