Fire destroys roof of Pueblo West house

PUEBLO WEST, Colo. - A house fire Thursday night in Pueblo West claimed the top half of the home, but thankfully everybody inside was able to get out OK.

It happened around 7 p.m. Thursday in the 1200 block of Jaroso Drive. (MAP) The Pueblo West Fire Department found heavy flames coming from the roof and attic area.

Winds were blowing about 15-30 mph and helped the fire spread quickly until parts of the roof started to collapse. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

The fire was extinguished and all hot spots were out by about 11 p.m.
