As many tourists flock to Garden of the Gods, employees are watching the skies in case of an emergency evacuation.
Program coordinator Bret Tennis says the park's proximity to the Waldo Canyon Fire burn scar puts it at risk for flash flooding.
Camp creek is their biggest concern, running between the visitors center and the park.
Barbara Cyr, Adventures Out West, says they have already closed business this summer season due to weather warnings. But, Barbara says, the chance of flooding isn't causing anyone to panic.
Trudy Russell arrived from Texas to show her grandchildren the sights. While she isn't worried about flooding either, she says three of her friends cancelled their trips over wildfire concerns.
Tennis says Garden of the Gods has a evacuation plan. Also, he says the park environment is sensitive. So they are discouraging activities like biking on muddy trails or rock climbing after rainstorms.
