Flood Advisory issued for the Waldo Canyon burn scar

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - A flood advisory was issued for the southern portion of the Waldo Canyon burn scar until 8:15 p.m.  These storms produced heavy rain on the burn scar, with 0.51" of rain reported from Upper Williams Canyon above Manitou Springs.

Highway 24 is remained open during the advisory.

The storms that moved across the Colorado Springs area brought quite a bit of lightning. Several power outages were reportedly. Notably in the Stetson Hills area on the east side and just southwest of downtown.
