Former Loveland police officer gets jail time
A former Loveland police officer convicted possessing child pornography and videotaping a woman in the shower without her consent has been sentenced to 16 months in prison, plus 15 years of probation and intensive therapy.
Rodney Bretches was arrested last year after colleagues at the Loveland Police Department began investigating Bretches following a woman's complaint that he had secretly videotaped her showering and then shared it online.
According to the Loveland Reporter-Herald, Bretches took the stand near the end of the two-hour-long sentencing on Monday and said he needs counseling.
