A Fort Carson soldier’s son is missing after the mudslide that hit Washington.
Staff Sgt. Jose Mangual is searching for his 13-year-old son Jovon Mangual.
The father said his son was with his mom when the mudslide hit the state.
After the devastation, Jovon went missing.
“The feeling is nothing I can explain. I miss my son. I want my son and I will not stop until I find him,” Mangual said.
He said it was unbelievable watching what the mudslide destroyed.
Mangual has been looking for his son since last Monday, but he has no leads.
“I haven’t had any luck. We’ve been searching for him. We haven’t been able to locate him,” the father said.
Mangual said he will stay in Washington until he finds his son, no matter how long it takes.
The Pikes Peak Red Cross also sent volunteers to help in Washington.
About 20 people have died from the mudslide and at least 30 are still missing.
