Canon City, COLO. -

Another Fremont County Sheriff's Office deputy is now on paid administrative leave.

According to the Canon City Daily Record, detention deputy Sarah Brassfield was arrested and charged with child abuse between Monday and Tuesday. The Daily Record cited the Canon City Police Department. No other details were available.

This is the seventh time a Fremont County Sheriff's Office deputy has been placed on administrative leave this year.

You may remember the first case involving former Detective Robert Dodd. He was put on leave in January, then retired April 23, after evidence from a 2006 homicide was found in a personal storage unit that previously belonged to him.

Dodd is set to appear in court on July 17.

The Fremont County Sheriff's Office confirmed Dodd is an employee with the department and is on paid leave. They declined to comment further.
