FORT CARSON, Colo. -

Eleven Fort Carson soldiers returned home from Afghanistan Thursday. Family and friends welcomed them in a homecoming ceremony at the Mountain Post.

The servicemen had waited nine months to see their families. They were greeted with signs, hugs, kisses and some happy tears. Some told us they were just happy to be home.

"Just excited, glad to be here after a mission well accomplished," medic Victor Wheeler said.

The servicemen were part of the 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team Fourth Infantry Division. They deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan.
