Gov. John Hickenlooper's annual State of the State address will likely talk about Colorado's recovery efforts on historic wildfires and flooding and an appreciation for first responders
And with the Denver Broncos making another playoff run, the Democratic governor is sure to cheer them on as he's done in his two previous speeches.
It's been a tough 12 months for Hickenlooper as he enters his fourth year in office and seeks re-election. For the second consecutive year, he dealt with a devastating wildfire season. And then there was flooding in September that killed nine people, destroyed or damaged nearly 2,000 homes, and washed out hundreds of miles of roads.
Hickenlooper will likely tout the state's successes in recovering from the disasters.
The governor will also likely call for more bipartisanship.
