I-25 restriction lifted after high winds in southern Colorado

PUEBLO, Colo. - UPDATE: Colorado State Police lifted the restriction for commercial motor vehicles and high-profile vehicles on Interstate 25 in southern Colorado after high winds Friday.


With high winds sweeping across the Front Range Friday, the Colorado State Patrol in Pueblo has restricted all commercial motor vehicles and lightweight, high-profile vehicles from traveling on Interstate 25 from the southern border to mile marker 74, near Colorado City. (MAP)

CSP says multiple vehicles have already flipped and are blocking the road.

Wind gusts in Pueblo were reported as high as 66 mph, and high winds are expected to continue throughout Friday.
