Hit & run driver who killed teen convicted on child porn charges

A man who pleaded guilty to a hit and run accident that claimed the life of a Colorado Springs teenager has been found guilty of looking at child pornography.

A jury convicted David Henley, who was 38 at the time of his arrest, on 23 counts related to child porn.

Henley was already under investigation for looking at child pornography during classes at Pikes Peak Community College when he hit and killed 14-year-old Ricardo Figueroa at the intersection of Circle and Airport. The accident happened on May 3, 2012.

Henley pleaded guilty to leaving the scene of an accident involving death on November 20, 2012. He was sentenced to 36 years in prison in that case according to the 4th Judicial District Attorney's office.

Henley has not yet been sentenced for the child pornography convictions.
