Interstate 25 is back open between Indiana Ave. and Pueblo Blvd. in Pueblo.
The interstate was closed for over an hour Tuesday morning after a car being chased by officers crashed, spilling dozens of guns onto the highway.
A spokeswoman for the Pueblo County Sheriff's Office says it started with a home invasion on the 6200 block of Highway 78-West in Pueblo County around 5:30 a.m.
Lisa Shorter says the suspects set their truck on fire as they left and stole the victim's truck to make their escape.
Deputies spotted the stolen truck a short time later and chased it onto I-25. A deputy used his car to spin the suspect's vehicle around to stop the chase, according to Shorter.
At that time the suspect's car crashed, rolling over and spilling items taken from the home invasion onto the road, including many guns.
The highway was closed between Pueblo Boulevard and Indiana Avenue while deputies and police investigated.
The suspects have been identified as 32-year-old Aaron Baros and 35-year-old Gerald Baca. Both men are from Pueblo and have extensive criminal histories, according to the Pueblo County Sheriff's Office.
Baros and Baca are facing the following charges:
Baros will also be booked on an unrelated $50,000 Robbery warrant. He remains in an area hospital where he is in stable condition.
Baca has been released from the hospital and taken to jail.
No one was hurt during the home invasion, according to Shorter.
