COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - A meeting was held Friday morning for panelists and community members to discuss how to achieve a healthy housing market.
"As we bring industry and jobs into town, that's going to bring out market up," said Mike De grant the president of the HBA.
The panel of five people included economists, sociologists and home builders discussing the current state of the market.
"Third quarter 2017, we're at 5.8 vacancy rate in Colorado Springs," said Laura Nelson, the executive director of the apartment association.
This is only the first meeting to discuss these issues. The next will be held in January.
