3 arrested, accused of kidnapping in Colo. Springs

Police searching for 4th suspect

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Police arrested three kidnapping suspects on Tuesday and are looking for a fourth suspect.

Colorado Springs Police were dispatched to the 3600 block of Carefree Place just after midnight Tuesday on reports of a gunman chasing another man.

A man who lives on the block told KRDO Newschannel 13 that a man banged on his back window asking him and his wife to call police.

When police arrived, the victim told officers that he and two friends had been kidnapped and that he had managed to escape.   At that point, the suspects had fled the area and officers couldn't locate the other two victims.

Through follow-up investigation, officers -- assisted by detectives from the Violent Crimes/Homicide Unit -- found the other alleged victims in the 3900 block of Harmony Drive.  Both were unharmed and safe, according to police.

Investigation also revealed that there were four suspects involved in the alleged kidnapping.

Three of the suspects were located and arrested on Tuesday morning. They have been identified as 29-year-old Joshua Takacs, 26-year-old Dustin Turner and 24-year-old Corey Garrett.

The fourth suspect has been identified as 27-year-old Stephen Woolwine. Woolwine has an outstanding Arrest Warrant for Kidnapping and should be considered armed and dangerous, police said.  KRDO NewsChannel 13 is working to get a description and/or photograph of Woolwine.
