3 hurt in crash that closed Powers Blvd.

Three people were hurt in an overnight crash that closed part of Powers Blvd. for about three hours.

It happened just after 1:00 a.m. on South Powers Blvd. near Palmer Park Blvd.

Colorado Springs police say a driver lost control of his vehicle and that's when it hit a sign.  The vehicle was severely damaged.

Police say the driver is 23-year-old Marcus Anthony.  They say Anthony and two passengers were seriously hurt and taken to a hospital.  Another passenger was not hurt.

Officers cited Anthony for Careless Driving Resulting in Injury.

Powers Blvd. was reopened at 4:15 a.m.
