Alcohol suspected in accident involving 4 parked cars

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Colorado Springs Police say a suspected drunk driver caused a chain of car crashes on Sunday.

It happened on E. Bijou St. near N. Academy Blvd. The road was closed for about five hours while police investigated the crash.

Police say a truck crashed into a parked vehicle and pushed it forward, causing a chain of crashes with three other parked vehicles.

Everyone in the truck suffered a variety of injuries, including a passenger who suffered serious bodily injuries. They were all taken to the hospital. Police say none were properly restrained.

Police believe alcohol and speed are factors in the crash.

The driver of the truck, Megan Shook, 23, is being investigated for Careless Driving, DUI and Vehicular Assault.
