DENVER - A woman accused of giving a gun to the suspect in the killing of Colorado's prisons chief is due in court.
Stevie Marie Vigil is scheduled to appear for a routine hearing Tuesday afternoon. She is charged with illegally giving a gun to convicted felon Evan Ebel.
Ebel died in a shootout with Texas authorities last month. He is the only named suspect in the killing of Colorado prisons chief Tom Clements.
Ebel was legally prohibited from buying a gun. Authorities allege Vigil bought one on his behalf. That gun was found on Ebel's body in Texas. Ballistics tests show it was the one used to kill Clements.
A cousin of Vigil's has said she is hardworking and law-abiding and that she may have been afraid of Ebel.
