COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - El Paso County Commissioner Darryl Glenn is hosting a Black Forest Fire Long Range Recovery Planning Committee meeting at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.
The meeting is happening at The Tent at New Life Church, 11035 Voyager Parkway, in Colorado Springs.
This committee provides policy guidance for all assigned subcommittees established for the recovery process. El Paso County residents are encouraged to attend these monthly meetings to receive information relating to recovery activities and policy direction. The following recovery subcommittees are scheduled to provide a monthly update:
A. Land Development Code/Code Enforcement
B. Clean Up/Recovery Process
C. Community Support
D. Citizen Preparedness/Lessons Learned
E. Legislative Support
F. Black Forest Foundation Citizens Committee
The Committee will also receive a financial update on community grants and the fiscal impact of the fire on the County.
There will be a public comment period after subcommittee and staff presentations.
