Car fire damages Colo. Springs motel

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Colorado Springs Fire Department put out a car fire early Monday morning (5/5/14).

The car caught fire shortly before 3 a.m. near the Chief Motel in the 1600 block of S. Nevada Ave. It caused some damage to the exterior of the motel.

Police closed down one lane of S. Nevada Ave. while firefighters worked to put out the fire.
