Closings and delays for May 9, Rockslide on Highway 24

WOODLAND PARK, Colo. - The rockslide on highway 24 has been cleared and all westbound lanes are open.

There is a power outage in Woodland Park. Police tell KRDO Newschannel 13 there is a power arc. That is a luminous discharge of current that is formed when a strong current jumps a gap in a circuit or between two electrodes.

Crews are working on determining how many customers are currently without power.

Teller County officials tell us Florissant and Divide are also without power right now. They say those outages are also caused from power arcing.

We are tracking the situation.
