Colo. Springs man pistol-whipped, robbed at home

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Colorado Springs police said a man was pistol-whipped and robbed at home in the 1800 block of Monterey Road.

It happened at around 1 a.m. Sunday. The victim told officers a man with a gun broke in through his bedroom window.

The victim struggled with the robber who hit him in the head with a handgun.

Police said the robber let two other people into the house. One gunshot was fired and the three suspects left the home with the victim's wallet.

The victim was taken to the hospital.
