Colorado Springs bank robbed

Colorado Springs police are investigating a bank robbery at the Wells Fargo near North Academy and Austin Bluffs Parkway.

The robbery happened at 3:04 p.m. Saturday. Police said two men entered the bank wearing stockings over their heads and ordered the tellers to give them money.

They left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash, according to police.

Officials said they were driving a dark-colored Chrysler 300, which was found abandoned a short time later in the parking lot of a nearby apartment complex.

No one was hurt in the robbery and officials said the men did not mention having any weapons. If you have any information, call police at 444-7000.
