Denver man dies while rafting in Summit County

SILVERTHORNE, Colo. - A Denver man is dead after being thrown from a raft in Summit County.

Seventy-year-old Charles Emery was rafting with others in the Blue River north of Silverthorne on Sunday afternoon when he was ejected.

The Summit Daily News reports that the Summit County Rescue Group responded and pulled Emery from the water.

The raft was privately owned and not from an outfitter.
