Disabled Vet is missing her service dog

Disabled Veteran's missing service dog

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Battling PTSD from her time in the Air Force back in the 70's, Karen Sagahon has relied on relief given to her by her service dog Tyler.

"I need him to go day-to-day and he needs me," Sagahon said.

She hasn't seen Tyler since Friday.

"He bolted," Sagahon said.

Sagahon had taken the 7-year-old Golden Retriever to the Petco on N. Nevada in Colorado Springs last Friday around 2 P.M.  Sagahon says she left him with a trainer while she went to go buy training treats.  That's when he bolted out of the doors.

"I will do anything to find my dog.  We've been out in the thunder, in the lighting, in the dark, in the light, in the wind and the sun," Sagahon said.

On Thursday, anything included getting up at 5 a.m. and searching near Woodmen Kennels based on a tip. Then hiking another several miles near Pulpit Rock based on another sighting.

Tyler is microchipped and is wearing a collar with identification tags.

If you have seen him, you can call 719-510-5574.
