Driver arrested after crash near fireworks show

GRAND LAKE, Colo. - A 33-year-old man is under arrest after crashing into pedestrians after Grand Lake's fireworks show.

The Grand County Emergency Medical Services told KUSA-TV that one person was killed and four were injured in the crash on U.S. Highway 34 near the Trail Ridge Marina Wednesday night. However, Colorado State Patrol spokesman Josh Lewis said there were mixed reports about what exactly happened and how many people were hit.
The manager of the Blue Bird Motel said the victims were carrying chairs and may have been trying to cross the street after the July Fourth fireworks show.
The highway was closed for hours after the crash, stranding people who had come out to watch the show.
