Driver charged in accident that killed 2 pedestrians

14-month-old in good condition

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The driver of a car who struck three pedestrians on Monday morning, killing two of them, has been charged with Careless Driving Resulting in Death and Pedestrian's Right of Way in Crosswalk.

Jennifer Eggleton was served and released on Tuesday.

Two women, Rebecca Lynn Robinson and Rose Arcuragi, were killed after being hit by the car on North Carefree between Oro Blanco and Picturesque Circle.

Colorado Springs Police tell us the two women were pushing a toddler in a stroller across the street when they were hit.  Both women were transported to the hospital where they were pronounced dead. 

Robinson was the 14-month-old child's mother and Arcuragi was her friend. 

The toddler remains in good condition at Memorial Hospital on Tuesday afternoon.
