El Paso Countys Dragon Man gets his own Discovery Channel TV show

EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. - Many of you know him as the 'Dragon Man.'

His big personality and unique military museum located in eastern El Paso County has elicited local attention for years.

But now, the Discovery Channel wants a piece of the action.

On Tuesday, Mel “Dragon Man" Bernstein signs a 3-year contract for a network series.

The show, called "Full Auto," will feature firearms, military vehicles and the history behind many of the items at his museum.

“The whole place is really a show. Even ATF said, years ago, this is a one-of-a-kind place, and I’m proud to own it,” said Dragon Man.

You may remember, back in 2012, his wife was killed while filming a pilot episode for the Discovery Channel.
