Family escapes house fire in Pueblo

Mother, daughter and dog were awakened by smoke detectors

PUEBLO - A family escaped a house fire in Pueblo early Wednesday morning.

Firefighters say it started right after 6:30 a.m. at a home in the 2400 block of North Greenwood Street.

Firefighters had it under control in about 10 minutes.

A mother, daughter, and their dog were in the house and got out safely.

Smoke alarms in the house awakened them.

The cause is under investigation.
