Firefighters battle fire in attic of home, family displaced

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Colorado Springs Fire Department battled a house fire early Monday morning.

It happened in the 900 block of Sahwatch St. Firefighters got the fire under control in about a half an hour.

The fire department says the fire started in the attic of the home. 

Everybody inside the house was able to get out safely. The family is displaced.

Investigators are on scene to try to determine the cause. Traffic is blocked at Sahwatch St. and Fountain Blvd.
