Horse rescued after night stuck in culvert

LOUISVILLE, Colo. - A horse was being evaluated by vets Monday morning (10/28/13) after spending more than 12 hours stuck in a culvert.

The first sign of trouble came at around 10 p.m. Sunday night when a family's water supply was suddenly cut off.

The owner of the home went to check on the culvert at around 7 a.m. Monday and discovered the trapped horse.

The horse, named Rocket, apparently escaped from his pen Sunday night and fell into the culvert.

A photojournalist at the scene reports Rocket appeared to have some cuts and bruises, including a cut above one of his eyes.
