How You Can Help Fallen Officer's Family

Statement From Colorado Springs Police Protective Association

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Colorado Springs Police Protective Association is asking for your thoughts and prayers for the family of fallen Officer Matt Tyner.

He was a motorcycle officer killed in a tragic accident while on duty Tuesday afternoon.

KRDO Newschannel 13 reached out to the CSPPA to find out how the community can help.

The CSPPA has a Fallen Officers Fund set up if you'd like to donate directly to the Tyner family.

The CSPPA also sent KRDO Newschannel 13 the following statement:

"Anytime a officer is killed in the line of duty is a difficult time for all of us. We thank the community of Colorado Springs for your support and concern as we deal with yet another tragedy. Citizens who wish to help may make donations to the Colorado Springs Police Protective Association's Fallen Officer Fund. This fund is restricted for support to CSPD Officers who are catastrophically injured or killed in the line of duty, and all funds donated go directly to the officer and/or his family. It is our mission to offer assistance as needed to the family of these brave and dedicated souls."
