COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Colorado Springs Police arrested a man accused of impersonating a police officer and resisting arrest Sunday night.

Police said it began in the 1900 block of East Bijou Street around 10:30 p.m. Willie Greene III, 40, was arrested and faces charges of impersonating an officer, driving under the influence and obstruction of a peace officer.

The victim called police about a disturbance involving someone claiming to be a police officer. When police arrived, the victim pointed out the suspect's car as it was driving away.

Police stopped Greene and he exited the vehicle. Police said he was confrontational with officers.

Shortly after contacting Greene, he exited his vehicle and was resisting arrest, so officers tased him.

An investigation showed Greene drove around the area several times. Two people believed he was about to commit a crime, so they took pictures of his vehicle. Then he confronted the victims, saying he was a police officer and they were interfering with his investigation.
