Man assaulted in his own driveway

PUEBLO, Colo. - Pueblo Police say a man suffered minor injuries when he was assaulted during an attempted robbery in his own driveway.

Police were called to the 2200 block of Rice Ave. at 9:42 a.m. on August 13, 2014.

The 52-year-old victim told officers that he had just pulled into his driveway when a dark colored car pulled up behind him, blocking him in.

The man said two men wearing masks and armed with guns got out of the car and assaulted him. He said he was hit with the gun and punched.

Police say the car was found abandoned in an alley in the 800 block of Berkeley.

Officers searched several vacant homes in the area and Central High School was placed on lockdown as a precaution.
