Man crashes into library, suffering serious injuries

Alcohol, speed factors in crash

PUEBLO, Colo. - A man is suffering serious injuries after he crashed his car into a Pueblo library early Thursday morning.

A Pueblo Police Department officer spotted the driver, Kellen Trujillo, 28, speeding down Union Ave. around midnight Thursday. The officer continued to drive in the direction Trujillo was traveling, then found Trujillo had hit a light pole and crashed into the Rawlings Library.

Trujillo was trapped in the car and had to be extricated.

Police say alcohol and speed are both factors in the accident. 

Due to his injuries, charges will be referred to the District Attorney's Office.
