Man hit by car crossing Highway 24

State Patrol: Man in serious condition

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - A man was seriously injured Saturday evening after being hit by a car crossing a busy highway.

It happened around 6:30 p.m. on Highway 24 near Ridge Road. That's on the west side of Colorado Springs near Old Colorado City.

According to state patrol, the man trying to cross the highway when he was hit by a westbound vehicle.

Neither the victim nor the driver have been identified.

There's no word on whether that driver will face criminal charges.
