Man hit by train in Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Police say a man was rushed to the hospital after being hit by a train in downtown Colorado Springs Thursday (6/5/14).

Police are calling it an accident. They say Quamaine Jenkins, 33, suffered serious injuries.

The accident happened in the 700 block of Conejos Street.

The train that hit Jenkins is now stopped while police and railroad investigators look into what happened. The train is blocking Las Animas Street west of Sierra Madre Street, Sierra Madre Street south of Fountain Boulevard and Royer Street near Las Vegas Street.
