Mobile home fire in Pueblo still under investigation

PUEBLO, CO - A mobile home fire on Thursday afternoon left a family of six homeless in Pueblo. The fire happened on the 2400 block of East Fourth Street, in the Continental Trailer Park.

Brandon Romero and his five small children are all safe. They will be staying with the children's grandma for the next few days.

A neighbor pulled the two youngest children out of the burning home. The other three children were in school when the fire broke out. Romero said he put his daughter down to try to put the fire out and lost her in the smoke. That's when the neighbor pulled out the youngest, 22-month-old, Ariyana and 4-year-old Ezekiel.

The family had just moved into the home. They had only been living there for two days. They had two dogs; one didn't survive.

There is a fund to help the family at Wells Fargo Bank called Brandon Romero Fund.

Fire officials said the cause of the fire is still under investigation, but are asking  anyone who knows anything to call Crimestoppers at 542-STOP.
