Motocycle crash closes Colorado Ave for several hours

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - A motorcycle crash prompted the closure of Colorado Avenue for several hours Sunday night.

A man and his female passenger were both ejected from the bike. The driver suffered serious injuries to his head and chest according to the Colorado Springs Police Department. He's in intensive care at the hospital. The female on the bike suffered some bruises and fractured a bone in her foot.

Police are trying to determine if the man had been drinking alcohol before the crash.

Two blocks of Colorado Ave., just east of downtown, were closed between 7 and 10:30 p.m.
