Motorcycle rider killed after crashing into deer

EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. - A man was killed Sunday night (5/18/14) after he crashed his motorcycle into a deer in El Paso County.

The Colorado State Patrol says the crash happened around 8 p.m. on Rock Creek Canyon Rd. just west of Hwy 115.

Troopers say the man was thrown 19 feet away from his bike after he crashed into the deer. He was not wearing a helmet and died on scene.

Alcohol and drug use are not considered factors in the crash.

Troopers are not releasing the name of the man until his family has been notified.
