New attempted kidnapping reported in Pueblo

PUEBLO, Colo. - The Pueblo Police Department is investigating an attempted kidnapping that happened Thursday morning.

It happened in the 600 block of Division Avenue around 11:30.

According to police, a 19-year-old woman reported that she was walking east on Division when a man driving a dark-green minivan stopped in the street next to her.

The woman told police that the man offered her a ride. When she refused, she says the man asked for her name. The woman became uncomfortable and began running.

Police say the man never physically touched the woman.

The driver of the van is described as a Hispanic man in his 30s. He was wearing sunglasses and has short black hair. The woman told police the man was soft- spoken.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
