One person killed in fiery Colorado Springs crash

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Investigators found human remains after a car exploded and burned on the 400 block of Bear Creek Road. The crash happened July 5 around 5:10 a.m.

Before emergency vehicles arrived, the car was fully engulfed in flames.

Investigators believe the vehicle swerved off the road and struck a tree. Speed did appear to be a factor. After the vehicle was extinguished, the remains of one person were discovered inside the vehicle.

The person has not been identified.
