Parts of the Pueblo County Courthouse briefly closed because of threat

PUEBLO, Colo. - Pueblo County Clerk and Recorder Gilbert "Bo" Ortiz says parts of the county courthouse were briefly closed Thursday morning.

Offices near the front entrance were impacted, including the Clerk and Recorder's Office and the Treasurer's Office.

Ortiz said that around 11:25 a.m., a man walked into the courthouse. He said the man was angry and said that he was going to go postal and go get a gun to shoot up the place. He says the man asked a female clerk if she had a gun he could borrow and that when she said no, he left.

The closure lasted for about 15 minutes, Ortiz said.
